When those sweet cravings hit out of nowhere, it’s easy to reach for a processed, sugar-loaded snack. But what if you could satisfy your cravings with something that’s not only sugar-free but also quick, healthy, and totally delicious?
Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite no-bake, no-fuss treats: Peanut Butter & Chocolate Covered Banana Bites! 🥜🍫🍌
This little recipe is proof that sugar-free living doesn’t mean boring—it means better choices that still taste amazing.
🍴 Ingredients (Makes about 10 mini bites)
- 1 large ripe banana
- 2 tablespoons of sugar-free peanut butter
- 40–50 grams of sugar-free dark or milk chocolate (whichever you prefer)
👩🍳 How to Make Them
- Slice the Banana:
Line up half of them on a plate. - Add the Filling:
Spread about half a teaspoon of peanut butter onto each banana slice you laid out. - Make Your Mini Sandwiches:
Take the remaining banana slices and press them gently on top of the peanut butter to make little “sandwiches.” - Freeze (First Round):
Place your banana bites on a plate or tray and freeze for 30 minutes. This firms up the peanut butter and helps everything hold together. - Melt the Chocolate:
While the bites are freezing, melt your chocolate gently using the double boiler method (place a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water and stir until smooth). - Coat with Chocolate:
Once your banana bites are firm, either dip them in the melted chocolate or, better yet, spoon the chocolate over the top. Dipping them directly may cause the chocolate to seize if it’s too hot! - Freeze Again:
Place the chocolate-coated bites back in the freezer for 5 more minutes, just until the chocolate sets. Then they’re ready to enjoy!
🧠 Pro Tip
Don’t dip your cold banana bites into very hot chocolate—it can cause the chocolate to harden instantly in the bowl and get clumpy. Let your melted chocolate cool for a minute or two, or spoon it gently over the bites instead.
